Guthrie Military Remembrance Ceremony – December 3, 2023
In Honor of Veterans Day 2023, Clan Guthrie USA is proud to announce we will be conducting a Guthrie Military Remembrance Ceremony in Alexandria, Virginia on Sunday December 3rd at 10:00 am
We will also be participating in the Scottish Walk (Parade) through Old Town Alexandria on Saturday, December 2nd at The Alexandria National Cemetery.
We would like to ask all those who have served or had loved ones who have served please come out and help us honor all those of Guthrie lineage who served in sacrificed not only for the U.S. but Guthries who served for their countries they loved so much.

The ceremony will include the following:
*Posting of the Colors (Honor Guard)
*Scripture Reading & Prayer (Lieutenant Jason Himsey, USCG, Retired)
Reading of Proclamation (The Honorable Justin Wilson, Mayor or Representative)
*Letter of Appreciation (Rear Admiral Wallace Guthrie, USN, Retired)
(read by his daughter: Lieutenant Gail Guthrie, USN, Retired)
*Address the Clan/Commitment to Remember/Moment of Silence
(Mr. Vance Guthrie, President Clan Guthrie)
*Retiring of the Colors (Honor Guard)
