Hi Jennifer! I just joined the clan. Have you ever gotten an answer to your question?
Basically you start with what you know about yourself and work back. First you then your parents, grand parents, connect them to your great grand parents and so on. You’ll be connecting back in time.
It’s not really a good idea to try to connect forward in time in most cases, although you will want to save information you find “just in case.”
