Why
The Guthrie Kirk (church) was built in 1826 but the site has actually been a place of worship for over 1,200 years. It is located behind the original Guthrie Castle and is a beautiful old historic building open for Guthries to visit.
What
Unless we act quickly, this historical treasure will be lost. Join our urgent cause to save it as it will be sold by the Church of Scotland. Your support is crucial in acquiring and preserving this historical structure. To be entered into the drawing for a Guthrie tartan item of your choice, you must donate to our founders campaign by July 31, 2024. All donations are welcome throughout the year as we look for 100% participation towards our $300,000 goal.
